Transmission Jack 1.5 Ton Chain Type TEL15001 — BIG RED

The same 1.5 ton Big Red telescopic transmission jack, supplied with a chain type head in place of the standard saddle. The car sits on the lift and the jack rises to meet the gearbox, so the job is done standing rather than lying on the floor.

The Difference Is the Head

Two chains come over the top of the gearbox and pull it down onto the cradle. A plain saddle holds a gearbox by balance alone, so it can shift as the angle changes on the way down. The chains lock the box to the jack before you loosen a single bolt.

Safety

A jack lifts a load. It does not hold it. Chain the gearbox to the cradle before loosening any bolt, and never stand under a load supported only by hydraulics.
